BIO

Hello,

My name is Winnie Zhu. I am graduating with a degree in Global Business and Studio Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design. Throughout the years, I have created many designs in a diverse spectrum of fields. I have worked on many identity kits with clotheslines, restaurants, small business products, national parks, non-profit organizations, and more. I have designed long documents and magazine covers. I have also done many infographics. These past projects have strengthened my branding skills.

After graduation, I plan on going to Paris, France to advance my designing and business skills. I hope to work in the fashion business industry serving in branding, marketing, and management fields. I am hoping to be able to combine both my creative designing and analytical business skills and contribute to the advancement of a growing company.

For my senior project, I have designed lookbooks and styling guides for both Nordstrom and Banana Republic. I also created marketing campaigns kits and window clings designs. Working with these two companies has given me exposure to experiencing design approaches towards a single branded retail company versus a multi-branded department store.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Banana Republic is a luxury clothing and accessories retailer owned by the American multinational corporation, Gap, Inc. This brand is inspired by the spirits of safari and travel.

On display at the senior show will be a Banana Republic Lookbook fashion-pulled and designed by me. The Lookbook includes all of the detailed collection by Banana Republic and the story of this brand. This book is designed to take you on a safari journey in what Banana Republic is all about.
