DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Over the last four years when talking about my photographed subject matter I have used the words “capturing” and “moments”. When I think or talk about the work that I am creating I like to use these words because I am physically capturing these emotional moments for myself. As a kid I’ve always loved photographs as a source of remembrance of a special moment because those moments now are captured forever.

For my senior project, I wanted to be able to capture emotions from people in all types of scenarios like sports photography, studio photography or street photography not limiting my choices of subject matter. Not only did I want to capture the emotions of the people or person within the photograph, but as well as the emotions I was feeling at those moments. Throughout my life I have kept my emotions within, so I use my digital creations as an external emotional voice.
