Senior Art Show 2022

meraki

~ doing something with soul, creativity, or love

April 5–21, 2022
University of Redlands Art Gallery

Closing Reception:
Thursday, April 21 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm

The Art Department of the University of Redlands is pleased to present meraki, an exhibition of artworks by 25 graduating artists. The show opens to the public on Tuesday, April 5 and runs until Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the University Art Gallery. Everyone is welcome to attend the closing reception on Thursday, April 21 from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

The title of the exhibition, meraki, is a Greek term that represents doing something with soul, creativity, or love. Because of their passion for what they do, all the senior artists were able to put something of themselves into the work they created. We can experience each artwork in this exhibition differently and feel the love that each artist has for what they do.

This exhibition consists of Capstone projects from students with different concentrations such as drawing and painting, graphic design, photography, and sculpture. This graduating class of artists have spent the year helping each other create their best quality work that will serve a great purpose in their future careers.

Exhibition features artwork from:

Mathew Chavez, Adriana DiNapoli, Isabella Duarte, Anna Forteza, Tanner Gish, Jacqueline Gonzalez, Kalei Moon Griggs, Breanna Gunderson, David Hazward, Lauren Jacob, Zack Johnston, Milet Lizárraga, Alicia Lopez, Erin McGrellis, Andruw Mendes, Calvin Originales, Gaston Pavao, Carly Rummerfield, Juan Salazar, Amanda San Miguel, Laurel Schenkman, Sierra Walton, Maeve Wiencek, Moe Yokota, Winnie Zhu
