Election Day is Approaching

Dear University Community,

November 8th is Election Day. At the University of Redlands, we teach civic engagement and service, and voting is one of the key ways you can engage in our democracy and ensure your voice is heard.  It is not too late to register to vote in many states, including California. Information on your registration status and instructions on how to register and vote in your state of residence can be found here. The polling location closest to campus – New Life Redlands Church – is located at 1330 E. Lugonia Ave., offers same day registration, and is open November 8th from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

It is important to note that the California ballot includes many important propositions. Additional information on each proposition can be found here. Remember, if you aren’t sure about an item on the ballot, you don’t have to vote on it. You can simply skip that item.

Also, be cautious of information shared online and remember to check sources. If you aren’t sure about the source, avoid resharing as it is common to see an increase of misinformation around election time.

If you have any questions, email bulldogs_vote@redlands.edu.

Sincerely,
