Dear University Community:
Today we celebrate, honor, and remember the service and sacrifice of our veterans and active-duty military.
At the University of Redlands, we currently have at least 120 active-duty military and veterans enrolled across the college and schools, in addition to those faculty, staff, and alumni who serve or have served. I hope the rest of the Bulldog community can join me in thanking these individuals by participating in the Veterans Day Notes of Appreciation campaign, sponsored by Military and Veteran Services.
As a member of a military family, I have some idea of the level of sacrifice this service means—the time separated from beloved family; the holidays, celebrations, and other milestones missed; the challenges with moving; and the personal toll it can take.
To all who have served our country, and to the families who supported them, we thank you! We are deeply grateful.
