Shared Governance Town Hall Follow Up

Dear University Community:

Thank you for your participation in our recent shared governance town halls. Your engagement and insightful contributions are invaluable as we embark on this important and timely work together.

To further facilitate transparent communication throughout this process, we have added all information related to shared governance to an easily accessible SharePoint site. This site will serve as a centralized hub to access and review information about the shared governance process, view past town hall video recordings, and stay informed about next steps and upcoming events.

Please note that to protect confidentiality, this site is tightly integrated with our ITS ecosystem, enabling us to leverage permissions to allow only specific constituent groups to access and review their own materials.

An important next step in organizing the Shared Governance Task Force is to ensure active participation from students, faculty, staff, and trustees. URSA and the Faculty Senate will coordinate nominations from their respective groups, while we will be requesting faculty and staff nominations for student participation. Please stay tuned for separate messages from these organizations about what comes next and how you can actively engage in this process. Once the members are selected, the Task Force will promptly announce details about their inaugural meeting, marking the beginning of this collaborative endeavor.

We also anticipate the shared governance survey will be distributed early next week. Your input is crucial in shaping our future decisions, so please take a moment to share your thoughts and ideas.

If you have any questions or suggestions regarding shared governance, please feel free to contact Dr. Danny Anderson directly at danny@drdannyanderson.com

We appreciate your unwavering commitment to the University and the shared governance process.

Sincerely,

Krista L. Newkirk
