Subject:  Redlands Campus Safety Advisory

Earlier today, the University of Redlands was one of over 200 universities and K-12 school districts across the United States that received an email referencing possible explosives around campus. The text of the email was the same for all the universities and schools that received it and does not contain information specific to the University of Redlands or any other school.

We take all threats to the safety and well-being of our community seriously. We immediately contacted the FBI and local law enforcement, and the threats in the email are deemed non-credible. Out of an abundance of caution, we will continue to exchange information with the other universities and school districts that received the email. Public Safety is also conducting additional patrols throughout campus. They have not identified anything unusual, or that is consistent with the threat. If we learn anything new, we will communicate via another Bulldog Be Safe memo.

We understand that these situations can be unsettling. Rest assured that the safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff remain our very highest priority.

As a reminder, all members of the University community should take reasonable precautions to ensure their greatest level of safety both on and off campus. If you see something suspicious, report it:
