Dispatcher Hershey retired from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department after 42 years of service as a 911 Dispatcher. She worked for Banning Police Department for 2 years, from 1978 to 1980, and then served the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department for the remainder of her career, retiring in 2022. She went from tracking 2 deputies, to 40-80 at any given time on the radio, spanning 5,000 square miles of territory. She also worked with Special Operations, interviewing Confidential Informants in conjunction with the Los Angeles Police Department.

Dispatcher Hershey joined the Public Safety Department in June of 2021.
