More about SSP tutoring

The Student Success Partnership is a grant-funded project in collaboration with the University of Redlands, School of Education, and the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools. The duties of the available positions relate to the tutoring and mentoring of foster youth in group homes (homes with 4-6 foster youth and professional staff).

Tutoring hours are in the afternoons and evenings and vary depending on group home assignment. You must provide your own transportation. There are carpooling options with other tutors, if available.

Success Academies are workshops at the University of Redlands geared to enhance student learning through designated themes. Tutors are required to attend.

Regular tutor meetings/training may follow each Success Academy.

All tutors will need to clear a Department of Justice/F.B.I. fingerprint background check and provide proof of a negative TB test dated within the past 2 years before working with students in foster care in group homes.
