Opportunities for Involvement

Within the Rochford College Access Program (RCAP) we have several opportunities for University of Redlands students to get involved. This is an excellent opportunity for students who are interested in a career in education, careers working with youth, or those who have benefited in their lives from a program like RCAP. Please read below for brief descriptions and applications. ALL staff (Mentors and Fellows) must complete Redlands Unified School District volunteer clearance paperwork. RUSD volunteer clearance paperwork can be completed here

Rochford Mentors
Starting Fall 2020, RCAP mentoring will be offered in the School of Education from 6-7:30pm Monday-Thursday evenings. Mentors work with scholars on their homework assignments, projects, and supplemental educational activities. Applicants will be interviewed, and if hired, will need to complete Redlands Unified School District clearance in order to begin working as mentors. Please contact Dr. Jennifer King with any questions.

Rochford Teachers
There are five opportunities (English, math, college access, families, and high school) to be involved with at our Saturday and High School Academies. Fellows choose one team to be part of according to RCAP needs and their skill sets. Fellows will be expected to meet with their teams to prepare for Academies and to actively facilitate instruction at Academies. Applicants will be interviewed, and if hired, will need to complete Redlands Unified School District clearance in order to begin working as fellows. Please contact Dr. Jennifer King with any questions.
