Join the Theatre Arts Department on April 2nd and 4th for Celebrando Fornés– A 2-night celebration of the 9-time Obie award-winning Cuban American Artist Maria Irene Fornés. This inaugural celebration of under-recognized Artists will include: Tortilla making, her documentary, The Rest I Make Up, a traditional Cuban meal, and a staged reading of her award-winning piece The Conduct of Life.
Celebrando Fornés was born out of a desire to spread the work and story of the life of a revolutionary artist of color, and share with others her great work on the American Stage. For that reason, this Celebration is free and open to every and anyone who'd like to experience Fornés' work.
