General Info:

Parking: There is 1 major parking lot available to patrons of the Theatre Arts Department off Sylvan Blvd. In this parking lot there are handicap spaces and energy efficient parking. Both theatres are accessible from this parking lot. There is street parking available along University St. starting from the train station to the turn onto Sylvan Blvd, though there is not a wheelchair accessible ramp from the front.

Elevator Access: We do have an elevator in the theatre arts hallway near classrooms & offices. This allows students/faculty/patrons to access the 2nd floor of the building should the need arise.

Frederick Loewe Theatre

The lobby and entrance to the theatre are at sidewalk/ground level, but do not have automatic doors to enter building. Ushers will open doors for patrons who require assistance.

Seating: This theatre has non-reserved seating. Patrons sit wherever they choose to upon arrival. If seating needs to be accommodated, it is best to arrive early or call our box office ahead of time to coordinate. We will be happy to reserve appropriate accessibility needs seating.

Rows that can be accessed without using stairs: The 1st row of each section floor level can be accessed without the use of stairs.

Wheelchair Access: The first row is at stage level and is accessible with a wheelchair space plus a companion seat. Advance notice of the need for wheelchair-accessible seating is not required but is helpful and may expedite your seating on the evening of the performance. Please contact us in advance if possible.

Restrooms: There are Men’s and Women’s restrooms available adjacent to the lobby. Both are wheelchair accessible and each contain a wheelchair accessible stall. There is a gender-neutral single bathroom upstairs on the 2nd floor, accessible by stairs or elevator within the theatre building. An usher can direct you to the best pathway.

Hearing: Headsets are available for hearing impaired patrons available at the box office desk.

Vision: There should be no obstructed view in this theatre but is dependent on the scenic design and audience configuration.

Service Animals: All service animals are welcome. Emotional support/comfort animals are not allowed. Service animals must perform tasks related to the handler's disability.
