Communication Sciences and Disorders
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders has been part of the University of Redlands campus for more than 60 years. Within the College of Arts and Sciences, the department offers a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. The course of study in the department is designed to develop excellence in academics and clinical practice. The department values a strong liberal arts foundation to develop thinking skills and communication abilities. The collaborative relationship among students and faculty is personal, meaningful and contributes to a reputation for producing caring and expert professionals.
Academic programs
Accreditation
Graduates from the Master of Science program meet academic and clinical practicum standards for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board. Graduates also meet the requirements for the Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
The Master of Science (MS) in Communication Sciences and Disorders in speech-language pathology at the University of Redlands is a residential program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard, #310, Rockville, MD 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700.
