The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders has been part of the University of Redlands campus for more than 50 years. The department offers a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. The master's in Communication Sciences and Disorders education program in speech-language pathology at University of Redlands is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard #310, Rockville, Maryland 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700. Graduates from the Master of Science program meet academic and clinical practicum standards for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board. Graduates also meet the requirements for the Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

The course of study in the department is designed to develop excellence in academics and clinical practice.
