AXIS Dance Company to Perform

September 16, 2015

The University of Redlands will present a performance of AXIS Dance Company to mark the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

AXIS Dance Company is one of the world’s leading and most innovative ensembles of dancers with and without disabilities. Paving the way for physically integrated dance, AXIS shares its cutting edge artistic, education and outreach work with thousands annually all over the world. AXIS Dance Company has been featured twice on FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance.

In collaboration with acclaimed choreographer Joe Goode, AXIS presents to go again, a dance theater work that brings to light issues facing our nation’s veterans and addresses their resilience following severe life changes. AXIS brings to this work a depth of embodied understanding of resilience and what it takes to live with adversity. Joe Goode is known for promoting understanding, compassion and tolerance through the innovative use of text and high velocity dancing.

AXIS will perform to go again at 8 p.m. Sept. 24, 2015 in the Glenn Wallichs Theatre on the University of Redlands campus.
