David Miller Memorial Award

David Joseph Miller (1987-2009) was a physics major who died in a tragic accident on February 28, 2009 as he was returning to campus at the end of Spring Break. He had been visiting the Space Administration division at the University of Texas where he applied for graduate studies. He was pursuing his goal of working in the aerospace industry on developing the technology for interplanetary propulsion systems. He was a wonderful presence in our department who is greatly missed. A B.S. degree in physics was awarded to David posthumously in May, 2009.

An endowment has been established to fund the David J. Miller Memorial Award, which will be given out annually to a graduating physics major. The award has been given to:
