University Choir

The choral ensembles of the University of Redlands recognize that the roles of arts and culture are fused. We seek to reflect the inherent value of diversity in all aspects: faculty, students, projects, mission, influence, impact. In order to achieve full inclusion, we seek to reflect the views and values of our backgrounds and stories, and to respect the diversity of musical disciplines and aesthetic approaches.

We are committed to inclusive excellence and give thoughtful attention to issues surrounding diversity, inclusion, and equity in all aspects of our work, and implement its diversity policy in a way that fosters meaning and reciprocity among and between communities. This commitment considers race, ethnicity, cultural experiences, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status, physical and mental ability, citizenship, education, religion, and includes cultivating diversity of thought throughout the institution.

We make a concerted effort to mitigate the impact of systemic oppression in the arts by creating access to and inclusion opportunities in arts experience, arts education, and community engagement.

The University Choir is a large mixed choral ensemble open to students, faculty, staff, and community members. The ensemble presents one concert each semester in addition to performing for the traditional Feast of Lights.

Our performances are free to the community with the exception of our holiday performance, Feast of Lights.
