All Trips will still led by University of Redlands students, alumni, or faculty and staff. These folks are enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated to your success on your FYJ and as a student at the U of R! Each trip has two leaders, at least one leader whom is certified as a Wilderness First Responder.
A Note About Choosing your FYJ
College is full of new experiences, and FYJ is a great place to begin your adventure! When considering trip options, we encourage you to try something new that may ask you to step out of your comfort zone. Our FYJs do not require previous experience, and while some offer greater physical challenges than others, our leaders, faculty, and guides are here to help support you through those challenges.
UPDATE: JUNE 19, 2020
We have re-designed our trips to prioritize student health and well-being. We will be continuing to follow CDC, Federal, State, and Local guidelines along with the policies of the University of Redlands, and as they change, trips may adjust accordingly. We are fortunate that Outdoor Programs typically follows best practices (outside locations, small groups, physical spacing, etc.), and we are using this time to review and adapt our program to best prepare for you to join us in August!
