The Stauffer Center has been designed to reflect the interdisciplinary, collaborative mode of teaching at a liberal arts and sciences university. Science students at Redlands take courses in all fields, and many explore cross-disciplinary programs.
Real-world opportunities in undergraduate research
Students at Redlands are offered a range of research opportunities, including the 10-week Student Science Research Program, where they work closely with faculty on projects in biology, chemistry, physics, and beyond. This reflects the Stauffer Center’s teacher-scholar model, where faculty are actively engaged in both teaching and research. Additional experiential learning opportunities are also available across other academic programs, giving students experiences that deepen their education.
