Sustainable university of Redlands Farm (S.U.R.F.)

The S.U.R.F. Garden illustrates the University's work toward local growing practices and exposing students to the outdoors.  The on-campus garden decreases the University's carbon footprint through reduced transportation processes and demonstrates climate-adaptive growing methods. Students have the opportunity to grow desired crops in a personal lifted plot and volunteer time in the garden to fulfill their community engagement credit. For more information about S.U.R.F. and their climate change adaptations, see the S.U.R.F. Garden ArcGIS StoryMap.
