Integrated semester

The Integrated Semester lets students explore a topic using all of the University's-and the area's resources in creative ways. We recommend that a student contract to undertake 8-12 units of work culminating in a comprehensive project at the end of a semester. The goal is integration of differing disciplinary viewpoints on a topic, or the development of a new understanding out of more traditional paradigms. Students participating in the Integrated Semester meet together as a class once a week with a faculty sponsor during the term. This program is especially well-suited for senior projects, but it ~as also worked well for second year students testing a concentration. The Director has details of how the Integrated Semester works.
