Sample Itinerary for SoCal Paddle & Surf, subject to (and likely to) change:  

Day 1

Depart Redlands for a 23-hour drive to your campsites.  After setting up your basecamp, depart for an afternoon of beach exploration 

Day 2

Time to hit the water.  A half day stand up paddle boarding (SUP) tour explores the rugged beauty of the South Coast.  Lunch on the beach paired with an afternoon in the sand rounds out your day before heading to camp. 

Day 3

Today’s you’ll explore the local beach community of San Clemente.  San Clemente State Park and it's amazing scenery, combined with mindfulness activities make a day full of exploration, walking and reflection. 

Day 4

After a great breakfast at camp, it’s time to hit the sand for a surfing lesson!  Your expert guides will put you in a great position to feel comfortable and experience the sheer fun of standing on the water!  An afternoon hike up the local coast range will round out your day. 

Day 5

Your last day on the course will give you time to reflect, breathe the ocean air and maybe catch a sunrise from the coastal hills.  After breaking down camp you’ll be spending a couple more hours on the beach before heading back to Redlands for an FYJ celebration. 

Additional Information

No prior kayaking or surfing experience is necessary for this trip.  This trip includes guidance from paddling instructors.  Some confidence in your ability to swim is recommended, although Personal Flotation Devices will be utilized when in deep open water.
