Hello, my name is Bita Roshannia, M.A. (She/her/hers). I am a 28-year old Iranian-American therapist currently in the 6th year of the PSY.D doctoral program at Azusa Pacific University.  I am excited to spend the 2023-2024 school year completing my clinical training here at the University of Redlands counseling center. I have 5 years of prior clinical training experience that I spent exploring different fields of psychology, working with a wide range of diverse populations, and in a variety of mental health settings. My previous experience consists of, working with kids and adolescents within the GUSD and AUSD school districts, working with severe mental illness and the high risk populations at Canyon Ridge Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital, as well as, substance use recovery patients and conducting psychological evaluations at Loma Linda Behavioral Medical Center. After working with the high risk population, I gained a special interest for early treatment, prevention, and working with young adults. I then spent a year at the University of La Verne counseling center where I solidified my love and passion for working with the young adult collegiate population. It is incredibly healing and rewarding to be able to meet and work with so many wonderful, brilliant, and talented young adults from all different backgrounds and walks of life all trying to learn, grow, and find their way in this world together. It gives me a great sense of honor and joy to be able to be a small part of their path and walk along with them on their journey of self-discovery.
