First Year Journey

Begin your Redlands experience on a First Year Journey (FYJ) and engage in a multi-day, outdoor adventure with fellow students, fostering connections and lifelong friendships. FYJ is a pre-orientation program for all incoming Bulldogs, freshman and transfer students, that promotes community and a sense of belonging as you transition to university life.  Move-in on Friday, August 21st, on-campus August 21-22, and trip dates from August 23-27.

From hiking to camping, rock climbing to surfing, and indoor programs, FYJ offers a variety of outdoor experiences that will challenge and inspire you while creating lifelong memories with your peers. As a new student, FYJ offers you the chance to immerse yourself in nature, develop strong connections with the university and your peers, and gain valuable insights into college life. University of Redlands Outdoor Programs student leaders and staff will be your guides as you embark on this unforgettable adventure.
