Students gain a greater understanding of problems faced by individuals and communities through participation in, and reflection on, service outreach. All undergraduate students at the University of Redlands are required to participate in a Community Service Internship (CSI)/Community Engagement Reflection (CER) or faculty-taught service-learning course. Students may fulfill the CSI requirement during any semester, May Term or summer placement. CSI contracts typically consist of service at non-profit agencies, hospitals, and schools.

The Office of Community Service Learning supports, recognizes and promotes the educational benefits of learning through service, encouraging University of Redlands students to build healthier, stronger communities.
