Ann S. Lucas Summer internship

Community Service Learning Office's Ann S. Lucas Summer Internship opportunity allows students to recieve up to $5k for service addressing children's needs in the United States.

What are the learning outcomes for this program?

Ann S. Lucas Internships will engage students in meaningful outreach, allowing them to move beyond previous knowledge and experience working with underserved youth. Students are encouraged to work in hands-on supervisory, managerial, tutorial, or administrative positions within non-profit agencies or cities. To gain the most from their summer placement experience and the spirit of service-learning, both preparatory and reflection exercises are required of Lucas Summer interns. 

Ann S. Lucas Community Service Summer Interns may use this experience to meet the University Community Service-Learning Internship (CSLI) meeting the Community Engagement and Reflection LAI requirement. 

What are the requirements for this internship?

The Ann S. Lucas Community Service Summer Intern must complete an application form and reference process. All completed applications will be reviewed at the end of March of each year. Application materials must be submitted through the online application by Thursday, March 26th, 2026.

Please submit:

(Students eligible for this program must be enrolled as full-time undergraduates at the University of Redlands, however, graduating seniors may also apply. Students will be notified during the first week of April.)
