What to anticipate at the event:
- Come and learn how GIS and Spatial Thinking is being used across campus in multiple disciplines to analyze and visualize pattens and impacts in the social and physical worlds
- The program will consist of a guest keynote speaker, several staff and student speakers, and the presentation of Student Excellence in GIS awards
- Each year the spatial community at the University of Redlands showcases research done by students, faculty, and administrators. Explore the posters and StoryMaps to learn about historical, social, business, engineering, and environmental science, and vote for your favorites!
- Open seating gives you an opportunity to sit with your colleagues & friends.

Ali Frazzini, Sustainability Policy Director, LA County
Where the Map Meets the Mission: Applied GIS for Climate Resilience in LA County
Ali Frazzini (she/her) serves as Policy Director in the LA County Chief Sustainability Office, where she covers topics ranging from heat resilience, environmental justice, and economic opportunity to food systems. Before joining LA County, she held roles at the NYC Health Department and the US Office of the Surgeon General. Prior to her government service, she worked in the community setting with people experiencing barriers to housing and employment. She received her Master's degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina and her Bachelor's degree from Yale University.
