Economics
In the Department of Economics, we aim to cultivate a space that supports students as they develop and sharpen their skills of inquiry, with the goal of fostering a lifelong commitment to learning and serving one’s community. Our department has a strong commitment to increasing the diversity of the economics profession as well as using economics to produce a more just and equitable world. Students interested in a wide range of subjects such as financial systems, health care, data science, and sustainability issues will find other students and faculty who share their passions.

Economics at Redlands operates from a pluralist, interdisciplinary perspective to explore the ways in which humans work together and organize themselves to sustain and enhance material well-being. We offer three distinct degree programs in economics and one program in data science.
