Graduate School of Theology Need-Based Grants

Need-based grant eligibility is determined by University policy and the student's financial need.  Financial need is based on information supplied in the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  Need based grants can be applied to tuition expenses only.  

Need-based grants cover up to 65% of the cost of tuition per semester for M.DIV and MA.TS students, based on the student’s need.

GTU MA students may also receive need-based grants of up to 50% of the Graduate Theological Union MA tuition.

Eligibility requirements:

  • M.DIV and MA.TS GST students and MA students at GTU
  • At least half-time enrollment
  • Make Satisfactory Academic Progress and maintains a 2.0GPA (renewal applicants only)

International students are eligible to apply for Need-Based Grants

To apply for a University Grant students must complete a FAFSA each year.
