Subject:  Closure of Redlands Campus Testing Clinic (English and Spanish)

The County of San Bernardino Department of Public Health is reducing their COVID outreach efforts and will be closing the COVID-19 testing clinic located in University Hall on the Redlands Campus. The last day of operation will be Friday, April 15.

There are still many locations offering free PCR tests. The COVID Clinic website is a great resource for locating testing sites by state. Additionally, the University has a limited supply of rapid antigen tests that will be prioritized for symptomatic community members and those who are required to complete weekly surveillance testing.

  • Redlands employees can retrieve a single take-home test per visit at the Office of Public Safety in Willis Center.
  • Redlands students can request a take-home test at the Student Health Center. Symptomatic students will receive priority and a rapid test will be administered by Student Health Center staff only for those displaying symptoms. Asymptomatic students will receive a rapid test to administer on their own. Students who need a rapid test after hours or on a weekend can retrieve one at the Office of Public Safety in Willis Center.
  • Marin employees and students can obtain a test from administrative support in Montgomery Hall.

It is important to remember that unvaccinated faculty, staff, and students are still required to adhere to weekly surveillance testing until further notice.

The COVID Task Force will submit recommended updates to the current Interim COVID-19 Policy for All Employees and our student COVID policies to the President’s Cabinet later this month.

Remember: Stay home if you’re sick. Please do not come to campus or leave your on-campus residence if you have even mild symptoms of COVIDIf you are experiencing COVID symptoms or if you have tested positive for COVID, please complete a reporting form immediately.
