University ID cards visibly displayed

Subject:  University ID cards visibly displayed

Beginning Monday, January 25, all employees (faculty, staff, administrators) and students at the Redlands campus, whether living on, working at, or visiting campus will be required to visibly display their University ID at all times. This practice is being implemented to help effectively manage access to campus, which in turn minimizes health and safety risks across our campus community.

If you have your University of Redlands ID card and would like access to an ID hole punch and a free U of R lanyard, beginning Wednesday, January 14, both will be available at the Campus COVID Resource Desk, which will be located on the first floor of the Hunsaker Building and staffed Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

If you do not have a University of Redlands ID card, please request one and upload a recent photo using this link. Pick up your ID card at the COVID Resource Desk—which will be located on the first floor of the Hunsaker Building beginning on Thursday, January 14—no less than two business days after submitting the request. New and returning students living on campus this spring who have requested or request an ID card by Sunday, January 10 will receive their ID card when they check into their residential community.

It should be noted that while the Redlands app provides virtual IDs using the ID photo on file, the expectation is that University ID cards will be visible at all times while on campus.

If you are not available during these service hours or if you have questions about this policy, please email student_affairs@redlands.edu.
