CPR Certification

All teacher candidates who are advancing to student teaching or a teaching internship must have a valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate at the time of application. CPR certificates must cover infants, children, and adults. The certificate must remain valid during the entire time the student will be student teaching or interning.

In order to be eligible for an Intern or Preliminary Teaching Credential recommendation, candidates are required to have a valid CPR certificate.

To obtain a CPR certificate, candidates may enroll in a class locally or take the Pro First Aid course, which is the only online course that is accepted.
