January Term at Washington University

The School of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis has a January Intensive Term (J-Term), which offers two courses for 3-2 engineering students:  Introduction to Electrical & Electronic Circuits and Engineering Mechanics I.  This is an opportunity for 3-2 engineering students to explore engineering coursework and Washington University.  The courses start soon after Christmas and end shortly after New Years Day. 

To be eligible, students should have a GPA of 3.25 or higher overall and in science and mathematics courses.  The pre-requisite courses are Calculus III (MATH 221) and General Physics II (PHYS 232).

The affiliation discount applies to Redlands students. This covers tuition, textbook, hotel, breakfasts, and lunches.  Students should budget for travel to and from St. Louis, personal expenses and dinners.  Students will be housed close to campus at the Drury Inn.  A free shuttle service will transport students back and forth to campus each day.

The application deadline is typically November 15, including a deposit.
