Matthew Crow

Graphic Designer

Matthew Crow 300x375.pngMy work is done with a process of evolving the idea, growing a piece that correlates my creative thought but also my very organized structure. A structure that builds overtime from wall to wall and creates brands & identities. In my varied and diverse approaches to making art; public, curatorial and web projects, the context of the work has an impact on the work’s relationship to the viewer. My work grew as I kept taking the next step and found myself very inclusive on brand developments and marketing strategies and how graphic design is a key component to its arrival to the world’s eye.

This year, I took plan of pushing my boundaries while creating branding identity systems for newly created companies. First, Layout Flooring Company is a self-made company that I designed to push the idea of formalism.
The logo and the spreads are created with the idea of how flooring is actually put down. For my other project, I created a social media personality with branding for its YouTube, Twitter, and how people will view the streamer while live on Twitch. The branding is themed around a video game called Destiny.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Graphic Design is a craft where professionals create visual content to communicate messages. I am a Graphic Designer out of Lake Elsinore, California. My interest of sports has always had an impact in my artwork and shows its influence throughout my portfolio. I work with all Adobe programs from InDesign to Illustrator but also have been dabbling in the procreate world. My de-sign work has the same focus on communication as the attention to detail. I also bring the ability of teamwork and bringing individuals ideas together to create a larger outcome, the attention to detail from start to end, while working on a brand or company is also something I take a lot of pride in. My range of work grew as I kept learning new process’ and found myself very inclusive in brand developments and marketing strategies and how graphic design is a key component to its arrival to the world’s eye.
