Academic Success Coaching is a high-level partnership focused on the "mechanics" of learning. Much like an athletic coach helps an athlete refine their technique, a Success Coach helps you identify your academic blind spots and build a professional toolkit for college-level work. Our coaches focus on the cognitive and behavioral strategies that turn a good student into a great one.
What to expect from your Coach:
Executive Functioning: Advanced systems for time management, task prioritization, and "adulting" responsibilities.
Academic Endurance: Strategies for building grit, maintaining motivation, and overcoming "academic burnout."
Process Improvement: Refining your specific approach to note-taking, test prep, and intensive study habits.
Holistic Problem-Solving: Identifying personal barriers to success and developing actionable plans to overcome them.
Why choose a Coach? Choose a coach if you already know where you need to go, but you want to sharpen the skills and strategies needed to get there more efficiently.

Meet the Academic Success Coaches

Hi, my name is Evely and I am a second-year graduate student in the School Counseling college track program. On top of being an Academic Success Coach, I am also the Graduate Assistant for the university's HSI (Hispanic Serving Institution) Office, Graduate Admissions Office, and the International Students & Scholars (ISS) Office. In my free time I like to go on picnics, read, try new vegetarian recipes, see a new Netflix documentary, or crochet.
I am driven by the desire to empower and encourage students and aim to meet you where you are.

Hello! My name is Victoria Ramirez, and I am an undergraduate senior here at the University of Redlands. In addition to being an Academic Success Coach, I am a psychology major who intends to obtain my master's in clinical counseling once I graduate. My current pursued career path is achieving my licensing to be an LCPP (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor) and specializing in counseling with adolescents. Furthermore, I am a member of the NSLS (National Society of Leadership and Success) and vice president of the Creative Writing Society on campus.
Outside of psychology, I am a creative writing double major who enjoys spending time drafting my fantasy novel, writing poetry and non fiction essays, drawing, and playing music on my guitar and banjo.
I am dedicated and impassioned to work with students to help build their motivation, discover newfound confidence, and achieve success in their academic careers.
