Multicultural Center

Established in 2000

The Multicultural Center promotes cultural literacy and competency to build a more inclusive community through programming and events. It is a place where students, faculty, and staff—regardless of ability, age, class, ethnicity, gender, language, nationality, race, sexual orientation, or the many intersections of our multiple identities—are welcomed and encouraged to learn from the many cultural perspectives at the University of Redlands.

Led by student-interns, the Multicultural Center serves as a home and meeting place for the following diversity clubs:

  • Asian Student Association (ASA)
  • Black Student Union (BSU)
  • DEFIANT (Differences & Disabilities Club)
  • First – Gen Family
  • Hillel
  • Hui (Hawaii Club)
  • Latin American Student & Alumni Association (LASAA)
  • Listening and Understanding Sexuality Together (LUST, peer discussion group with topics ranging from sexuality, gender, and relationships)
  • Middle Eastern Student Association (MESA)
  • Native American Student Union (NASU)
  • Redlands International Student Association (RISA)
  • Wadada Wa Rangi Wengi (WRW, non-Greek sisterhood)
