March 24, 2022

Hello,

As the semester comes to a close, we want to share some important information regarding the process of checking out of your room. Please review all the information below thoroughly, as many of your questions will be answered.

Not enrolled in a May Term course? Students who are not enrolled in a May Term course must check-out of their current spring housing assignment by Sunday, April 24th at 2pm. The spring semester meal plan will end with brunch on Sunday, April 24th.

Enrolled in a May Term course? Students who are enrolled in a May Term course are permitted to remain in their current spring housing assignment through the end of May Term. The spring semester meal plan will end with brunch on Sunday, April 24th and the May Term meal plan will begin with brunch on Sunday, May 1st. All communities will close for the summer on Friday, May 27th at 2pm, so please plan your arrangements accordingly.

  • Do you live in the Grove Apartments? The only community closing for the term is the Grove Apartments where May Term enrolled students will be relocated on Sunday, May 1st to the Brockton Apartments. Students will be contacted regarding their new housing assignments by Friday, April 22nd.
  • Are you taking a travel May Term course? Some travel courses will meet on campus prior to their departure. Students in these courses are permitted to remain in their current spring housing assignment, however, must check-out of their room by the time the communities close for the summer on Friday, May 27th at 2pm. For this reason, in nearly all cases, students should check-out of their room prior to their May Term travel course’s departure.

Are you an athlete with continued competition? Student athletes who continue to compete are permitted to remain in their current spring housing assignment, but are expected to check-out of their room within 24 hours of their last competition or return to campus after travel.

Are you interested in Summer Housing? The application to apply for Summer Housing is available on the MyRedlands Housing Portal under Applications and Forms. Please be aware housing priority is first provided to students who are employed on campus for the summer through Student Employment. The remaining availability is offered to students on a first come, first serve basis. Learn more about the process and Summer Housing in the application.
