Redlands campus - Central Avenue Apartments

Learn all about the Central Avenue Apartments

The Central Avenue Apartments provide convenient, fully furnished housing for graduate students at the University of Redlands. Located just a short distance from campus, each apartment includes a furnished living space, a kitchen equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, and sink, heating and air conditioning, on-site laundry facilities, a community swimming pool, and individually keyed bedrooms. Utilities, including gas, electricity, water, and trash, are included in the rental rate. Apartments are cable-ready, and students are responsible for arranging and paying for cable or internet service if desired.

Rental Rates

Semester rental rates are competitive with the local housing market and are established annually by the University's Office of Business and Finance. Rates are updated each September and vary based on the apartment type, size, and occupancy.

Housing Assignments

Graduate student housing is offered on a first-come, first-served basis and is subject to availability. Because graduate programs have different start dates and program lengths, apartments and rooms become available throughout the year on a rolling basis. Once a housing assignment has been made, you will work directly with the on-site Apartment Manager, who will assist you with scheduling your move-in and completing the check-in process.

If you would like to be considered for graduate housing, please review the available apartment options and email rlh@redlands.edu with your student ID number, your preferred apartment option(s), and your anticipated move-in date. Your request will be added to the housing waitlist and reviewed as space becomes available.

Central Ave Apartment Guidelines & Expectations

The Central Avenue Apartments are a smoke-free community, and smoking is not permitted in the apartments. Pets are not allowed in the Central Avenue Apartments. Students who require an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) or another housing accommodation must complete the University's housing accommodation process through the Office of Academic Support and Accessibility (ASA) before an animal may reside in University housing.

Residents are welcome to have overnight guests for up to three nights per month. Guests may not stay beyond this limit or reside in an apartment on an ongoing or indefinite basis without prior approval from the Office of Residence Life and Housing.

If you have questions about graduate housing, apartment availability, or the application process, please contact the Office of Residence Life and Housing at rlh@redlands.edu.
