Sample Itinerary for Southern California Adventure, subject to (and likely to) change: 

Day 1 

Pack up the vans and hit the road, you’re headed to your base camp in Chino Hills State Park. A stroll up to a high point makes a great spot for a sunset before dinner. 

Day 2 

Up early, today is exciting. Depart your campground and head southwest to Crystal Cove state park for a beautiful day hike to a high ridge above the pacific. After lunch, enjoy the sun and sand on the beach.  

Day 3 

Gear up – today you’re going mountain biking.  Chino Hills has some phenomenal terrain, well suited for the beginner and intermediate rider.  After a detailed lesson in the parking lot with our amazing guide, you’ll get to enjoy miles of single-track. 

Day 4 

Back to the beach today, this time to get to know Huntington’s world-famous waves.  Home to the US Open of Surfing, Huntington has some perfect beginner-friendly breaks.  The guides will ensure you’re set up for success and a smile.  

Day 5 

Pack up camp and head back to Redlands.  Don’t forget to work on your skit for our end of FYJ Celebration Dinner! 

Additional Information 

No prior surfing or mountain biking experience is necessary for this trip.  Some confidence in your ability to swim is helpful, but surf locations are typically shallow and over a sandy bottom.
