Day 1

Pack up the vans and hit the road, east and above the desert floor to the alpine town of Idyllwild. To the wilderness! This is your first day in the backcountry, where you’ll gain some elevation before connecting with the Pacific Crest Trail and your trailside campsite.

Day 2

Leave the heavy packs in camp, today you’ll day hike over to Tahquitz peak with stunning vistas and opportunity to explore concepts of outdoor leadership with your trip leaders.

Day 3

Today’s miles will go quickly, reversing your route back to the trailhead and getting down to the amenities of your front country campsite. A quick stroll through the art galleries and cafés of Idyllwild to round out your day.

Day 4

Lace up your climbing shoes and tie in, today we’re rock climbing! A wide variety of routes set up by your climbing guide will give everyone the opportunity to push their boundaries and try something new.
