The foundation for Bulldog Beginnings
Bulldog Beginnings is all about helping you connect with other students, explore campus resources, and celebrate being part of the Bulldog community! Bulldog Beginnings is designed to support the holistic success of all students regardless if you are a first-year, transfer, commuter, or continuing student. Each pillar promotes personal and academic development, encourages meaningful connection, and contributes to an inclusive and engaging student experience.

Whether you're applying for jobs, internships, graduate programs, or research opportunities, having strong application materials is key. Join us to learn the purpose and differences between resumes, cover letters, and CVs, and discover how to effectively showcase your skills, experience, and accomplishments. This session will provide practical tips and best practices to help you create professional, polished documents that stand out to employers and academic programs.

OCPD Lunch & Learn: Professional Communication - Recommendation Requests & Email Etiquette
September 24, noon - 1:00 p.m. at Armacost 116 (OCPD)
Strong professional communication skills can help open doors to internships, jobs, graduate programs, and networking opportunities. Join us to learn how to professionally request letters of recommendation and craft effective emails that leave a positive impression.
This session will cover email etiquette, common communication mistakes to avoid, and strategies for writing clear, respectful, and professional messages. You'll also learn best practices for requesting letters of recommendation, including when to ask, what information to provide, and how to maintain professional relationships with faculty, supervisors, and mentors.

Sickle Cell Anemia Awareness Blood Drive
September 28, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Casa Loma
Join us for a Red Cross Blood Drive event in collaboration with CSL, Dean of Students and Belonging, and BSFSAA to promote Sickle Cell Anemia Awareness Month! This is an opportunity for Redlands students to support blood drive efforts to save lives.

CSL 35th Anniversary Service Event
October 3, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Orange Blossom Trail (between Grove Avenue and Judson Street)
Celebrate CSL's anniversary through service by helping paint a commemorative mural, planting native trees and plants, and beautifying the Orange Blossom Trail.

- Comfortable work clothes
- Refillable water bottle
We'll provide all tools, gloves, supplies, and refreshments. This service project is open to students, alumni, families, friends, and community members.
Believe Walk
October 4th, 6:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Downtown Redlands
The Believe Walk is more than just a walk; it is a powerful movement dedicated to raising funds for cancer-fighting organizations in Southern California. Each step taken symbolizes hope, strength, and unity in the fight against cancer.
