Emergency Preparedness

Emergencies or disasters can strike quickly and without warning. It is important to know what to do before one occurs. During a large-scale disaster, emergency responders and resources may not be available. The University is aware of this and representatives from different departments on campus have developed a comprehensive emergency management plan.

A dedicated emergency operations center (EOC) has been established and emergency supplies such as food, water, and medical supplies have been purchased in support of operations after a disaster. An Emergency Preparedness and Planning committee meets regularly to direct emergency management efforts including mitigation projects and training.

The safety of the campus is a high priority; however, we must all do our part to be prepared. Do your part by assembling and storing emergency supplies at home, at work, and in your car.
