Backing Up Your OneDrive Before Leaving or Graduating from the University of Redlands

All students, faculty, and staff at the University of Redlands have access to Microsoft 365’s OneDrive cloud storage. If you're graduating or leaving the university, it's important to back up your OneDrive files to ensure you don’t lose access to your data.

OneDrive Backup Instructions:

  1. Login to https://uredlands-my.sharepoint.com/my using your University of Redlands login credentials.
  2. Select the files/folders that you wish to save by clicking on the radio buttons next to the folders that you wish to save.
  3. Click on ‘Downloads’ to download the files/folders to your computer.  This will compress all your files into a single zip file to your Downloads folder on your computer.


 

How to Open the files/folders from your OneDrive backup zip file

  1. Go to the backup zip file, right-click and select 'Extract all'.



  2. Then browse to where you would like to save the files in your computer and select 'Extract'.
