Sustainability is a value of growing importance and urgency. The University of Redlands actively promotes sustainability by sourcing produce from the on-campus S.U.R.F. Garden and through student and community collaboration. Students are able to apply their classroom knowledge to spread awareness and implement climate change mitigation and adaptation methods. The University of Redlands faculty and staff are dedicated to integrating sustainability and climate resilience into teaching, research, and campus operational practices. The Geospatial, Climate, and Sustainability Initiative advances this commitment by funding innovative faculty grants, introductory GIS pathways, and student research across all campuses. SEA
Students for Environmental Action Club
The Students for Environmental Action (S.E.A.) club aims to progress the University and the local community toward a greener and more sustainable future. The club hosts weekly meetings to discuss current events, listen to guest speakers, and share tips on how to be more eco-friendly.

Sustainable university of Redlands Farm
The S.U.R.F. Garden promotes local growing practices, reduces the University's carbon footprint, and offers students the chance to grow crops and earn community engagement credit.

Accelerate Neighborhood Climate Action
ANCA's goal is to build climate-resilient communities at the neighborhood level using community education, neighborhood action and support, and community outreach and engagement.

Climate Teach-In
During Climate Action Week (March 18-22), a series of campus events, including the Climate Teach-In on March 21 featuring 5-minute talks by U of R faculty, staff, and community members across diverse disciplines, will engage the community in critical dialogue and action on climate change.

Lewis Hall: L.E.E.D. Building
