The Department of Accounting is situated within the College of Arts & Sciences, which distinguishes it from most accounting programs nationwide. At University of Redlands, we act on our conviction that a liberal arts education is the best training for future business leaders.
You need to learn the language of business, but you also need to learn the facts and methods of historical inquiry, the mathematics that helps us test whether we really know what we think we know, the science that shapes our understanding of the physical world around us and drives ongoing discoveries, and arts of all forms that allow us to connect with each other.
Within the Accounting department, you will learn how enterprises evaluate themselves in order to improve. You will learn how external providers of capital (lenders and shareholders) decide where to invest, and you will learn about the important political negotiations that determine what information is available to decision makers in complex economies.
Study business and finance-related topics to prepare you for a career in finance, investments, management, or law enforcement.
Provide you with a foundation of careers in general business, government, investment management, and finance.
