Alexander Porter

Alexander comes to Redlands from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), where he served as Vice President of Administration and Finance and Chief Financial Officer.  In that role, Alexander was the lead executive for all campus administrative operations, including fiscal services, capital planning and facilities management, university police department, administrative information technology operations, enterprise operations, internal audit/advisory services, and university support operations. 
 
During his time at CSUF, Alexander led major campus development and operational initiatives, including securing schematic approval for a $156 million student housing complex, adding 550 beds; and completing a $75 million Visual Arts Complex expansion and renovation. He also collaborated across campus to implement an innovative tiered-response model that connects counseling services with campus police for nonviolent, mental health situations — an approach now being replicated at other institutions. 
  
Prior to CSUF, Alexander served as Vice President of Administrative Services at Cypress College, where he led a $101.6 million construction project of a new Science, Engineering, and Math building that added 106,000 square feet of instructional space, laboratories, offices, and an immersive digital classroom/planetarium. He also held key leadership roles at Los Medanos College, California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), and the California State University Office of the Chancellor. 
  
Alexander holds a Master of Science in Business Administration from St. Mary's College of California and a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management from CSULB.

This is a critical leadership role within the President's Cabinet, responsible for guiding the University's financial strategy and advancing its long-term financial sustainability in support of the goals outlined in the strategic plan.
