About George Adame
George Adame is the Scene Shop Coordinator for the Department of Theater and Dance at University of Redlands. Within the past 5 years, George has been continuing to furthered his education into the technical aspects of theatre production, both cultivating his skills in scenic design and construction while developing those in lighting design, sound, and more.
George’s love and desire for theatre craft and storytelling began at an early age through acting. Through his pursuit of acting, George has performed in various plays (Pablo Del Valle in Native Gardens, Clifford Anderson in Deathtrap!, various roles in All in the Timing, Rulon Stacey in The Laramie Project, and several more). George is also an avid writer, having compiled several short stories and poems over the past 5 years.
George has a BA in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. After receiving his degree, George took a local acting class at Redlands Footlighters Theatre, where he began becoming heavily involved in local community theatre. This is where George not only continued his path of acting, but had the opportunity to stage manage Marjorie Prime and help construct the sets for Wally’s Cafe and Native Gardens. George continued furthering his technical experience in several other plays, such as All in the Timing and Agnes of God, to name a few.
George can’t wait to continue to work along side students and staff to bring the visions of future U of R projects to fruition.
