Violet R. Ket

International Student Advisor, DSO, ARO
Office of Global Education

Violet R. Ket is a seasoned higher education professional with a decade of experience as a (P)DSO and international compliance expert. She specializes in optimizing international student services, advising, institutional policy writing, and interpreting government regulations, as well as working directly with students. Violet has designed and led student programs and seminars on regulatory and employment topics, CPT, OPT, STEM, taxes for institutions such as UCLA, USC, Caltech, Los Angeles Film School, and the Colburn Conservatory. She is active in the California international advising community and frequently presents at NAFSA conferences. Before academia, she spent more than 10 years in the film industry. Violet is an avid world traveler and loves Formula 1, fine cuisine, fantasy books and TV shows.
