Nico Mora
About Nico Mora
Nico Mora is a student in the Master of GIS program at the University of Redlands. He grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and has lived in various parts of the country, including Philadelphia, Miami, San Francisco, and North Dakota. All that travel sparked his interest in geographic information science and its application to solve problems in both the private and public sectors. He is excited to support the Center for Spatial Business in its mission to broaden the reach of spatial thinking in academics and business.

Professional Background
Nico’s professional background spans education, data analytics, and product development in mission-driven organizations. He started his professional career as a Teach for America corps member, teaching high school English and Social Studies, before joining the Research & Evaluation team at the charter management organization KIPP Foundation as a data specialist. Later, he completed a product fellowship supporting Common Sense Growth, a spinoff of the children’s nonprofit Common Sense Media. Most recently, he spent two years developing large language model (LLM) training data as a product for Scale AI’s external clients.
