Join Dr. Joseph Wall of the University of Redlands for a practical lunchtime session on using AI as a thinking partner in city and county government. We will explore how AI can help you organize information, consider alternatives, prepare useful drafts, and improve recurring tasks while drawing on your own experience and judgment.

Participants will learn how to:
  • Identify useful starting points for AI in their daily work.
  • Give AI the context and reliable information it needs to help.
  • Use AI to develop ideas and think through decisions.
  • Check results and recognize when human judgment needs to guide the next step.
About the speaker:

Dr. Joseph Wall is Professor of Emerging Technologies, Ethics and Strategy and Academic Director of the Applied Ingenuity Lab at the University of Redlands. He is developing applied AI courses, workplace projects, and a series of AI badges and certificates covering practical operation, strategy, building AI systems, and entrepreneurship. His research focuses on Human Assurance: helping people use AI while retaining the judgment, verification, and accountability that make their work trustworthy.
