A Gently Tilting Planet is an immersive video installation tracing the movement of light across a year. Each projection shows the 24 hours of a Quarter Day—the equinoxes and solstices—as vertical bands playing one hour in real time. Across a 60-minute loop, the installation presents 96 cumulative hours of planetary light, immersing viewers in Earth’s vast motion.
Jennifer Bewerse is a multimedia artist working across film, music, and performance. She creates time-based works that reconnect people with experiences so familiar they go unnoticed, inviting a more expansive way of seeing their lives and the world around them.
The installation will be on view Friday, Oct. 16, and Saturday, Oct. 17 in addition to the Oct. 15 screening and talk.
